Action Generation Leadership Residency update!

Relaxation and meditation in the woods Relaxation and meditation in the woods

Hey Peeps!

We are full throttle into our residency and we have such a good group this year!! We spent last night getting to know each other, eating SO much food (there is dessert at every meal...and let's get eat dessert when it's there sooo), going through the game plan for the next few days and then having some chill time (some of the boys hit up the rec centre and played some BBall and some of the ladies headed down to town. This morning started early with a breakfast buffet to die for...i mean stacks on stacks of waffles, eggs, bacon, and an entire oatmeal/granola bar!! Yes please!! Our first session was Relationship building and we headed out to the woods for a little outdoor fun and centering ourselves (thanks Ronna for the lesson on self care and well being!), a coaching seminar was next! This residency goes so quickly and is such a whirlwind but, wow, what a great time! Ciao, till next time (i'm off to eat some more, it's lunch time ya'll and they have house made ice cream for dessert yaaaaaaaas)!

A bit of history...

AYV (Alberta's YouthVOLUNTEER! Society) was started in 2006 by some awesome peeps not unlike yourselves. They were looking to volunteer but couldn't find any information on how to do it. Being go getters they decided that Alberta needed an organization just for youth to help us find our own information and opportunities!  AYV is an organization run by youth for youth!
