The 12 Days Of Christmas Cards Countdown is here!!

Every day from now until Christmas we'll be featuring a different christmas card created by local artists from around Alberta. Each card was inspired by, and represents an organization that is youth friendly and doing amazing things.

Our this first day of Christmas we give to you a card created by artist Sara Knourek - who lives in edmonton and is an education student with a background in Theatre Production and fine arts. She chose the Edmonton Humane Society as inspiration because she and many of her friends have adopted animals from there and she was impressed with the fine work they do!

The Edmonton Humane Society is committed to helping homeless and abused companion animals. They believe in the humane treatment of animals and are a valuable community leader in animal welfare. They have a youth volunteer program called Parent and me, check it out on their website and see all the good work they do!

A bit of history...

AYV (Alberta's YouthVOLUNTEER! Society) was started in 2006 by some awesome peeps not unlike yourselves. They were looking to volunteer but couldn't find any information on how to do it. Being go getters they decided that Alberta needed an organization just for youth to help us find our own information and opportunities!  AYV is an organization run by youth for youth!
