The Banff World Media Festival (BANFF) is the world's foremost television and digital media content creation event. BANFF will bring together over a thousand television professionals from dozens of countries.

In a conference setting at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel, the Festival features provocative sessions and informative master classes and provides a global platform for networking, discussion and debate of current industry issues. Budding writers and creators are able to pitch fresh ideas to busy - and typically inaccessible - senior producers and network executives through one-on-one meetings. The Festival recognizes and celebrates international industry excellence at the Rockie Awards Gala.

A not-for-profit organization, the Banff World Media Festival is owned by the Banff Media Festival Foundation, which has a mandate to recognize, develop, celebrate and encourage excellence in television programming within Canada and around the world. As a beneficial catalyst for growth and prosperity in Canada's television industry, BANFF could not happen without our invaluable team of volunteers!

The event will take place Sunday June 12th until Wednesday June 15th.

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers to fill a number of positions before and during the festival in June. Some positions include:

• Guest Relations
• Branding Staff

All applications are reviewed in connection with available roles and schedule.

A bit of history...

AYV (Alberta's YouthVOLUNTEER! Society) was started in 2006 by some awesome peeps not unlike yourselves. They were looking to volunteer but couldn't find any information on how to do it. Being go getters they decided that Alberta needed an organization just for youth to help us find our own information and opportunities!  AYV is an organization run by youth for youth!
