Volunteers will be assisting with “field covering”, chair set-up, chair take-down, and then the loading of everything into the trucks when the event is over. This will be a more physical opportunity, with lots of moving, standing, lifting and bending over.

Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation

As the largest volunteer led organization dedicated to creating a future without breast cancer in the country, we count on our volunteers to provide much needed support. They are the backbone of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.

The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation volunteer program is built on the strengths of a dedicated group of individuals from a wide range of age and cultural backgrounds. Often motivated by a personal connection to the cause, our volunteers generously contribute time and energy to assist the Foundation in its mission to fund relevant and innovative research, and advocate for the breast cancer community. Volunteers take on a number of key tasks both big and small. From answering phones and making pink ribbons, to joining Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure and Batting Against Breast Cancer planning committees, they are making a real difference.

A bit of history...

AYV (Alberta's YouthVOLUNTEER! Society) was started in 2006 by some awesome peeps not unlike yourselves. They were looking to volunteer but couldn't find any information on how to do it. Being go getters they decided that Alberta needed an organization just for youth to help us find our own information and opportunities!  AYV is an organization run by youth for youth!
